FOR ARTISTS & CRAFTSPEOPLE
All artists who jury into AOG are required to feature handmade artwork in their booth, individually designed by each artist, and displayed throughout the two-day event. Strolling among their booths attendees will find paintings, sculpture, wooden creations, fiber, baskets, pottery and jewelry, just to name a few distinctive works of art. Artists can speak to buyers one-on-one and explain the stories behind their exquisitely crafted work.
Any artist can apply to Arts on the Green who works in the following categories: ceramics, consumables, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, 2D Mixed Media, metal/blacksmithing, painting, photography, sculpture, and wood. All artist booths are audited during the festival to ensure that only quality original art made by the artist is displayed. Returning artists must also jury into the show.
Artists are asked to apply on Zapplication. Incomplete applications will not be juried. You MUST submit all required photos (including your workspace) to be considered. You will be notified once your application has been received. Once a jurying round is completed (there may be several) artists will be Invited or Not Invited on Zapplication. If Invited, it is up to the artist to Accept or Decline the Invitation.
You MUST provide 3 photos of your work, a photo of your Booth Display, and a photo of your Workspace.
Jury Fee is $25 - A discount applies for Early Bird applications.
Booth Fee is $230.
Electricity is $25.
Late Fee is $25.
Arts Association of Oldham County members receive a $15 discount.
Booth spaces are for artists to exhibit ONLY original artwork created by them. NO Buy/Sell items accepted as original artwork-no exceptions. No commercially made products, ceramic made from molds, kit objects, glass from patterns or mass-produced items may be exhibited. All work displayed must be labeled for sale, or “not for sale”. The judging committee reserves the right to reject any work, display or exhibitor which in its opinion does not conform to the artist’s work as represented by the submitted application. The committee will also select an “auditor” to enforce this rule to make this a fair event for all participating artists. All booth numbers received at Check-In must be displayed prominently on your booth.
Artists must be present during the entire show, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday. Artists who pack up early will not be allowed to participate in future shows (unless the early departure is approved by the Show Director).
Artists must provide their own 10’ x 10’ white tent, displays, tables and chairs. If you require electrical service, please provide your own heavy duty outdoor extension cord.
All participating artists are eligible for the Best of Show award ($300) and ribbon. First place in each category receives $100 and a ribbon. All 1st – 3rd place winners receive a ribbon. Judging begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday and goes until all booths have been judged.
To qualify, artists must display their booth number and artist name in a prominent location on their booth. Clearly identify your three best pieces representative of your work to be considered for Best of Show award ($300). Judges will interview artists about their work.
