Art Class: Watercolor Class 1 by Laura Lenz Bowman

Level: This class is open to all adults and students age 14 and up. Supplies: All supplies will be provided for the art class, including brushes, cold pressed watercolor paper, paint and more. If you'd like to bring any of your own supplies, please have them marked with your name. Description: Watercolor techniques will be learned and explored along with use and function of different brushes and mixing colors with both tube and pan watercolor paint. Types of abstract art will be introduced. The elements of color and value are the focus in this class along with composition. The class size is limited to 8 so individual instruction and needs can be met. The objective is to create an abstract painting using newly learned techniques... Artist Laura Lenz Bowman will be the instructor of this class. She hold a BA in Art and an MAT in Art Education from the University of Louisville. She most recently retired after teaching five years of High School Art. Laura has been a juried artist at Gallery 104 for eight years.
