Needle Felting a Winter Cardinal

Level: No experience necessary. Beginner to intermediate. Ages 18+ Instructor: Kim Mahlbacher Juried Kentucky Crafted Artist Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen, Kentucky Proud, and International Doll Artists. Goal: Teaching my students the science and skills of needle felting, so they can create this happy perky Winter Cardinal, and with these advancing skills be able to go on to make even more delightful needle felted creations. This class also teaches the use of core wool, adding color, and more advanced shaping. Materials: I will provide a cute kit, tied with a yarn bow, for each student, containing all the sheep's wool they will need. Plus a needle felting pad, needle felting needles, glass eyes, a cute sliced 3 3/4" wooden base for your cardinal to sit on, and sunflower seeds for him to snack on. And speaking of snacks: I will also provide hot tea and European cookies for the students.
