The Arts Association of Oldham County is excited to offer a series of FREE Art classes for high school students with disabilities. The program is made possible through a partnership with Arts for All, a non-profit organization. All classes will take place after school at Gallery 104 in LaGrange. Instruction will be led by Laura Lenz Bowman followed with each student being paired with gallery artists, Edd Johannemann, Jacqueline Bryan, and Leah Tenney to work side-by-side to collaboratively create a unique work of art. Students will learn the basics of photography, explore a variety of media to draw, paint and embroider on their photos, and create a collage. The small class size of eight, lends itself to a community of inclusivity. Students will learn how to look at the world through an artist's eyes, observing composition techniques and incorporating elements of art. The classes will finish with a Gallery exhibit and reception. Please call Gallery 104 with questions: 502-222-3822 or contact Laura Lenz Bowman at gallerymanager@aaooc.org.
